2006/04/14 Source

After a successful round at major international film festivals including Berlin Film Festival this year, The Peter Pan Formula (Peter Pan-eui Gongshik) will be released on April 13 in Korean cinemas. The film is the feature film directorial debut of Jo Chang-ho.

The Peter Pan Formula premiered at the 2005 Pusan International Film Festival. From there the film went on to be invited to the 2006 Berlin International Film Festival (Forum) and the 2006 Sundance Film Festival (World Competition). The film enjoyed positive reactions from viewers at the festivals and film critics were impressed.

The story revolves around the high school student Han-soo (On Joo-wan). Han-soo faces a critical stage in his move towards adulthood alone, since his mother falls into a coma after a suicide attempt and he doesn't even know his father. Director Jo Chang-ho shows Han-soo's unconventional approach to life with a sensitive directorial style.

Jo a former assistant director for director Kim Ki-duk and Daniel H. BYUN - is working on his next project, a film titled: Alright, It Is Still Alright, collaborating again with the production company LJ Film.
