Dramas are getting shorter.

Usually dramas are 16 to 20 episodes long but from this year, 'miniseries' are getting to as short at 8 or 10 episodes.

The upcoming tvN drama "Circle" is a 10 part drama. Yeo Jin-goo and Kim Kang-woo are in it. This is tvN's first SF genre and it is based on the setting that the present of 2017 and the future of 2027 exist together. It is written by Kim Jin-hee-III, Park Eun-mi-I, Ryoo Moon-sang, Yoo Hye-mi and directed by Min Jin-gi.

Netflix drama "Kingdom" written by Kim Eun-hee-I and directed by Kim Seong-hun is an 8-episode drama. It's about zombies during the Joseon times. Two episodes of the script are out and the casting will commence soon.

MBC "Three Color Fantasy - The Stars In Space" is a super short miniseries made up of 3 episodes. Director Kwon Seong-chang explains, "Short dramas will prevent viewers from drifting away and emphasize concentration on the story".
