EBS's animation The Birds & The Bees – A Secret You Shouldn't Keep wins the Grand Prize at the 2006 Annecy Festival

EBS's sex educational animation, The Birds & The Bees - A Secret You Shouldn't Keep, won the Grand Prize in the Educational, Scientific, or Industrial category at the 2006 Annecy International Animated Film Festival, often considered the 'Cannes of Animation'.

EBS announced on June 12 that its animation, The Birds and The Bees - A Secret You Shouldn't Keep (25 min) was invited to the Educational, Scientific, or Industrial category and received the Grand Prize at the 2006 Annecy International Animated Film Festival, which concluded last June 10.

Dealing with sexual harassment toward children, The Birds and The Bees - A Secret You Shouldn't Keep, the third in the trilogy of sex education animation for children, The Birds and The Bees, co-produced by EBS, Character Plan Co., Ltd., and Miracle, was broadcast in Korea in June last year.

Aside from The Birds and The Bees, 10 Korean animations also competed in five categories in the said festival, with Walking in the Rainy Day by Choi Hyun-myung receiving the Jury's Special Award for a Graduation Film.

As the most prestigious animated film festival in the world, Annecy Festival honored My Beautiful Girl, Mari by Lee Seong-gang in 2002 with Cristal for best feature in the Featured Film category, which was followed in 2004 by Oseam by Sung, Baek-yub, which received the Grand Prize in the same category.
