Encouraging Sales for Kong Hyo-jin's Environmental Book

Actress Kong Hyo-jin's "Notebook" about the environment has established itself as a steady seller since it was published two months ago. Some 30,000 copies have been sold and the publisher is printing a fourth impression.

Publisher Bookhouse in a press release said it expects a sales boost in spring, when people can more easily take part in environmental initiatives such as growing plants, riding bikes, and adopting abandoned pets, as Kong suggests in her book.

In a conversation with the author in a theater on Feb. 19, Kong said, "I felt that if someone who likes what I do tries to do the same even just a little bit, the world can change. I hope there'll be more consensus about environment protection in Korea so that I can publish sequel after sequel".
