Fallen K-Pop Idol Accused of Bribing Police

Fallen K-pop idol Park Yoo-chun is suspected of bribing police officers when he was being investigated for rape back in 2016.

A police source said Tuesday, "We recently obtained testimony that Park invited a police officer to his home for dinner when he was being investigated. We're checking the matter with the investigators at the time".
It is unclear whether the police officer Park invited was in charge of the rape investigation.
The alleged dinner took place in June or July of 2016, when Park was accused of raping four women. After a monthlong investigation he was cleared of the charges.
A Seoul Metropolitan Police spokesman said, "If the head of the investigation is found to have visited Park's home and received something with strings attached, a formal probe could follow".
