After the successful run of period comedy-mystery movie, "Detective K", Korean actor Kim Myung-min is set to start filming his new film Pacemaker. According to Kim Myung-min's agency, MY Entertainment, production will kick off on April 11 in Daegu, a city located in the southeastern part of Korea. Meanwhile, the prayer ceremony will take place at 6 pm on April 8 at the Dream Capture Studios in Seoul.
Shooting was initially scheduled to start on April 6, following the prayer ceremony on April 4. However, due to production problems, filming was delayed, revealed by a staff from MY Entertainment.
Pacemaker is an inspiring and heartwarming story about Joo Man Ho (Kim Myung-min), a retired Olympic runner in his mid-thirties who gets scouted by the national team's marathon director Park Seong Il (Ahn Sung-ki) to pace for "genius marathoner", Min Yun Ki (Choi Tae-joon) at the upcoming Olympic games. Actress Go Ara also also stars as the pole vaulter, Yoo Ji-Won.
The movie marks musical director's Kim Dal-joong (Finding Kim Jong Wook and Attack the Gas Station) debut in the silver screen. The production team aims to finish filming by July for a nationwide release on September 7 this year.
