According to a report on Oricon, the first theater to be exclusively devoted to K-Pop will be opening in May. The 200 seat theater will open up in Tokyo's Ebisu Garden Place area and will be named the K Theater Tokyo. Debuting in the brand new theater will be the 21 member A-Peace. The theater is being opened to meet the increased popularity of Korean artists in Japan (last year marked the first time that multiple Korean artists topped the Oricon charts in Japan).

You know, some people might look at this as risky given the current environment of Japan but I applaud this move. There's an obvious increasing demand and opening something like this can only help the recovery process, if not financially than perhaps just by giving people some distractions to look at. Hopefully this works out for everyone involved and we hear more about this in the future.
