Former presidential secretary for overseas public relations, Sohn Ji-ae was inaugurated Monday as the new president of Arirang TV.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism appointed Sohn last week to head the Seoul-based English broadcasting service for the next three years.
Sohn was formally CNN's Seoul bureau chief and the spokeswoman for the G20 Seoul Summit preparation committee.
Arirang TV operates international television, Internet and domestic television services reaching some 90 million households in 188 countries worldwide.
