Genitalia Exposed in TV Drama

MBC drama "Talcoman Supai (Sweet Spy)" on Monday broadcast a bathhouse scene during which the private part of a male extra was accidentally exposed, sparking protests from viewers on its online message board.

The Korean Broadcasting Commission said it will discuss tomorrow whether it will penalize the broadcasting company for failing to edit out a scene in which the extra's pubic region and buttocks were shown.

MBC released an apology for the incident on its Web site. "We will try not to repeat such mistake in the future", MBC said, adding it will reedit the third episode for its video-on-demand service.

The incident is the second time this year that male genitalia were exposed on an MBC program. During the July 30 episode of live music show "Music Camp", two members of punk band Couch pulled down their pants during the performance of a fellow music group. The broadcasting commission disciplined the network, which decided to immediately cancel the show.
