Girls' Generation Appears On MTV in the US

Girls' Generation appeared on the American music channel MTV on October 24, their agency, SM Entertainment, revealed on October 25.

The members of Girls' Generation gave an interview by appearing on the program "MTV IGGY", which is a network channel of MTV News and MTV Network, to promote their worldwide album entitled "The Boys".

Their appearance filmed in the MTV Open Studio was broadcast live via the electronic display on Times Square in New York, and many of Girls' Generation's fans who had gathered from all over the US came to Times Square to watch their appearance. SM said, "Many fans were cheering while holding placards and other cheering devices such as fans on which the members' faces are printed.

As the fans were shouting and cheering at Girls' Generation's appearance, many pedestrians in New York paid attention". After the members finished filming the program, they held a fan meeting in Best Buy Theater on Broadway to introduce their new album and answer their fans' questions.
