Gyul Hwi cast for "A Superior Day" with Jin Goo

APIC Entertainment announced on the 6th that actor Gyul Hwi was cast in the drama OCN's "A Superior Day" (written by Lee Ji-hyeon-II/Director Jo Nam-hyung).

Actor Gyul Hwi recently changed his name to Gyul Hwi and joins in "A Superior Day" to make a fresh start.

Based on a popular webtoon, "A Superior Day" is a thriller set in 24 hours where only the superior survives, and the ordinary man who has to save his kidnapped daughter by killing a serial killer. The drama has confirmed Jin Goo, Ha Do-kwon and Lee Won-keun.

Recently, Jin Goo (Lee Ho-cheol), Ha Do-kwon (Bae Tae-jin), Lee Won-keun (Kwon Si-woo) and Lim Hwa-young (Choi Jeong-hye) were confirmed to appear, and Gyul Hwi will play Jeong-min, a close firefighter junior working at the same fire department as Lee Ho-cheol (Jin Goo).

Gyul Hwi made his debut in 2004 with the film "Fighter in the Wind" and has since appeared as unique characters in "The Admiral: Roaring Currents", "The Piper", "The Prison", "Girl on the Edge", "Okja", "A Taxi Driver" and dramas "Big Issue", "The Wind Blows" and "Prison Playbook".

Recently, he played the main and supporting roles in the films "Innocence", "Run Boy Run", "A Leave" and more.

Meanwhile, "A Superior Day" joined by Gyul Hwi, is scheduled to air in the first half of 2022.
