KoBiz's latest infographic reveals which films enjoyed the highest sales in Korea's domestic TV VOD market in 2016. Na Hong-jin's "The Wailing" tops their list with $6.98 million (during its run in Korean cinemas, Na's thriller scored 6.8 million admissions), and "Zootopia" was the most popular foreign flick with $3.93 million. "Asian Film Awards: South Korean Erotic Thriller "The Handmaiden" Wins Big"

Great news for K-cinema and Park Chan-wook fans! "The Handmaiden" walked away with no less than four awards at the 11th Asian Film Awards, scooping up four of its six nominations. The film, which stars Kim Min-hee, Kim Tae-ri, and Ha Jung-woo, enjoyed just over 4.2 million admissions in Korea last year, and since being released internationally, filmgoers and critics have had nothing by praise for Park's latest. "Black Panther Set Photos and Video from South Korea Chase"

Check out these behind-the-scenes snaps from the set of "Black Panther". The film's epic chase scene is currently being shot in South Korea and pictures have emerged online of the action. The's films main chase scene is expected to be quite intense (helicopters were mentioned), so it's no surprise that many lined the streets to observe this blockbuster in the making.

"South Korea Introduces Tax Breaks for Film, TV Sectors"

According to Variety, "South Korea's film and television industries are to be allowed access to a government tax break previously reserved for manufacturers", which will really benefit small and mid-zed companies. "The new law is to help grow the film and TV industry that has a great ripple effect on tourism and exports", said a representative from Korea's culture ministry, "and aid the companies in the industry that are suffering due to the Chinese ban on imports of Korean cultural products".
