Chef's Table is a Netflix original series that showcases well-known chefs from around the world. In this post on The Age, an Australian news outlet, writer Kaleem Aftab reports on the Zen Buddhist monk, Jeong Kwan, "the first chef to be profiled on Chef's Table who does not run a restaurant" (her temple kitchen is 270 km south of Seoul): "Her vegan cuisine came to the world's attention when Buddhist Eric Ripert, the French chef who works at Le Bernardin in New York, visited the temple that is surrounded by plants, trees and land nurturing the vegetable and fruits, herbs and beans, mushrooms and grains that will find their way onto the plates of the visitors to the temple..."
