Things look bleak in episode thirteen of "Wanted" and everyone suffers. A lot of things about the past are explained as we get to know our kidnapper and the path that brought him here. The people who bonded with Joon-goo are feeling betrayed and everyone on the good side is being hunted by SG Group, which has a tight grip on the police force. As the truth about SG's wrongdoings surfaces, Hye-in is brought closer to a difficult choice.
I am used to dramas leaving things unexplained by now. The filming system is not ideal for creative writing. This means that I am overjoyed when met with the rarity of a series not having amnesia and forgetting what it has shown before. Jo Nam-cheol's (Park Sang-wook) death is finally explained and it makes sense. I never considered the fact that a hired killer could have known other persons related to the case, but then they did meet under special circumstances.
The way things played out also explains why Soo-hyeon (Lee Jae-kyoon) was not chastised or removed from the case by Joon-goo (Lee Moon-shik). Furthermore, the aforementioned meeting between Joon-goo and Jo Nam-cheol reveals where the former got his inside information on Sang-sik's (Seo Hyun-chul) murder scene from. Since Joon-goo was there when it happened, the police informer I have been so desperate to see might not exist and I find that quite believable. Who would Joon-goo trust after the police itself closed the case?
Speaking of trust, the production team members and obviously Hye-in (Kim Ah-joong) have a hard time with the revelation of Joon-goo's identity. There are so many emotions involved. These people have caused terrible things to happen and they have made decisions that cost lives. They trusted Joon-goo as the moral compass of the group. Bo-yeon (Jun Hyo-seong) was even kidnapped because of him. At the same time, SG Group have been hurting so many people and so it is difficult to see Joon-goo's plans as purely wicked.
Woo-sin (Park Hyo-joo) is now personally involved in this, as her daughter uses SG's deadly product. Dong-wook (Uhm Tae-woong) will be making some tough choices as well, now that his "brake" is asking for his help. Most importantly, Hye-in is facing the most crucial choice of all. She might have to choose between the life of her son and that of SG Group's victims, which is a truly horrible responsibility to have.
I wonder if there is someone in the police who is above the ones allied with SG, because a little help would be much appreciated here and I doubt Jin-woong (Lee Seung-joon) is it. With Seung-in (Ji Hyun-woo) and his team weakened, Ji-eun (Shim Eun-woo) taken by Ham Tae-seob (Park Ho-san) and Joon-goo mentally and emotionally unstable, things are looking pretty grim at the moment.
