Korean Weekend Box Office (2011.05-13~2011.05.15)

"Sunny - 2010" has hung on to number one with an impressive 616,400 admissions this past weekend. Kang Hyeong-cheol's (director of "Speedy Scandal") latest film is dominating the charts with its closest competitor 393,524 tickets behind it. The film is approaching the 2 million mark and with the margin it's holding now at the top it will likely see that milestone soon.

"Source Code" retains the number two spot with 222,876 admissions. This action thriller is definitely not one to miss as it continues to receive praise from critics and causal moviegoers alike. "Thor" slips down a spot to number 4 after switching positions with Lim Chan-ik's "The Apprehenders" from the previous weekend.

Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson (aka "The Rock") are still impressing in the action-packed "Fast Five". The film was at the same position in last week's chart but this week it managed to do so with just 92,337 admissions. "3D Sex and Zen: Extreme Ecstasy", the 3D follow-up of the "Sex and Zen" erotic series. At number seven is Wilson Yip's remake "A Chinese Fairy Tale". This supernatural/love story is based on a short story by Pu Songling's and stars Louis Koo, Yu Shaoqun, Liu Yife, and Fan Siu-Wong.

The two Japanese manga films "Crayon Shin-chan: Super-Dimension! The Storm Called My Bride" and "Inazuma Eleven the Movie: Saikyou Gundan Ogre Shuurai" are still floating around the bottom end of the charts with 48,120 admission between them. Kim Jin-young's "Clash of the Families" is at number nine with 2,544,241 total admissions.
