It was not one of Park's most profitable, but "I'm a Cyborg, But That's OK" possesses an invigorating type of magic only this master could muster. It tells the tale of a troubled young girl (Yeong-goon played by Lim Soo-jung) who is recently admitted to a mental institution after nearly electrocuting herself to death. There she serendipitously stumbles into an odd relationship with an anti-social schizophrenic (Rain as Il-soon) obsessed with oral hygiene and thievery, and shares with him her secret of being cyborg. The film is padded with magical-realism, lovable characters, attractive compositions, and at its core is a heart-warming story of the love we'd all like to get lost in/struck by. Enjoy!
