[HanCinema's News] Goo Ha-ra Reappears at Japanese Fashion Show

2019/10/07 | 212 views | Permalink

Goo Ha-ra has been scarce in the South Korean market since earlier this year, following a series of unfortunate events stemming from an ex-boyfriend's attempts to blackmail her. Having departed for Japan, Goo Ha-ra has started working again and even signed contracts in the Japanese market. Now, she is posting content to Instagram detailing her appearances.

Goo Ha-ra's ability to do this is somewhat surprising, as many celebrities have faced serious criticism for working in or with Japan during the current strained relations between the countries. Goo Ha-ra has proven an exception to this rule, as her fans appear to have interpreted her choices as being emotional, rather than financial.

The actress and singer attempted suicide earlier this year over her ex-boyfriend's attempts at sexual blackmail. The ex-boyfriend has since been released from prison for time served from his three year sentence that had been reduced to eighteen months. It is difficult to blame Goo Ha-ra for wanting to keep an ocean between the two of them.
