On May 21st Tan Entertainment confirmed that actor Hong Seo-jun, who is represented by the agency, will appear in the upcoming drama "Racket Boys" on SBS. The youth drama centers around a badminton squad at a rural South Korean high school, and the dreams and growth of its members. Despite the name, the squad consists of both male and female members. Jo Yeong-gwang of "THE CHASER - Drama" and "Defendant" will direct the project.

The drama is also the latest project from screenwriter Jeong Bo-hoon-I. "Racket Boys" will be the first project where he the sole credited writer, with his previous projects, "Reply 1994" and "Prison Playbook" having multiple credited writers. Hong Seo-jun is best known for his supporting role in the recently completed "Vincenzo" although his screen career dates back to 2014 with the highly experimental film "Sookhee" where he played the sexually charged title character's abrasive husband.

Prior to that point, Hong Seo-jun had specialized in theatrical work. No details are as of yet available as to what character he will play in "Racket Boys" or when this character might be expected to appear. The drama will premiere on May 31st.
