[HanCinema's News] Jang Hye-jin cast for "Shouts of a Father"

2019/08/16 | 224 views | Permalink

Following popular acclaim for her role in "Parasite" Jang Hye-jin has been cast in "Shouts of a Father". The film stars Krystal of the girls' group f(x) in the leading role. She last appeared in the leading role for "The Player" last year.

"Shouts of a Father" is the story of To-il, a college student who becomes pregnant. In anticipation of her wedding, she tries to seek out her absentee birth father, setting off the plot. Jang Hye-jin has been confirmed to play the role of To-il's mother. Choi Deok-moon and Lee Hae-young-I have also been confirmed in roles that are being deliberately kept ambiguous, since either could be To-il's father.

The movie will be the debut feature length film for Choi Ha-na-I, who graduated from the Korean National University for the Arts. "Shouts of a Father" started filming on August 13th.
