[HanCinema's News] Jo Bo-ah Talks About "Military Prosecutor Doberman"

In a recent interview, Jo Bo-ah discussed her closing thoughts about "Military Prosecutor Doberman" where she played the leading role, albeit not the title one, as a rookie military prosecutor with her own hidden agenda. Jo Bo-ah said that initially, she had never heard of the job of military prosecutor. As she thought about how to do her role, she found that too much of her focus was on the military element and not the prosecutorial element.

Upon realizing her deficiencies, Jo Bo-ah made a point of studying a dictionary to make sure she understood the meaning of all the legal terms in the script. The more secretive aspects of the character came more naturally to Jo Bo-ah, as she thinks of herself as being fairly similar to her character in terms of the constructed natures of their personalities. The action elements, however, are quite off-brand for the actress, who was previously best known for her role in "Tale of the Nine Tailed" in 2020.

"Tale of the Nine Tailed" as well as many of Jo Bo-ah's other projects are romances. And while "Military Prosecutor Doberman" has some romantic elements, both leads mostly ignore them for the sake of investigating cases of particular importance to them. Jo Bo-ah likes the heavier, more realistic tone of the work, while also noting that there was still plenty of lighter comic relief during the story that prevent it from seeming too overly dramatic.

Jo Bo-ah also found the action scenes to be a fairly exciting departure from what she was used to. Jo Bo-ah had to train at the action school for three months to prepare for filming, and expressed an interest in doing more work in that genre in the future. Jo Bo-ah notes that for her, even 200% effort only gets around 70-80% results, so she needs to work hard to achieve her goal of developing as an actress. "Military Prosecutor Doberman" ended on April 26th with ratings of 10.081%.
