On May 1st Jung Woo-sung accepted the best film award for "Innocent Witness" at the Baeksang Film Awards. In his acceptance speech, Jung Woo-sung expressed nervousness about speaking right after Kim Hye-ja. He mentioned thinking about not accepting the award too quickly, then expressed thanks.

Jung Woo-sung went on to discuss "Innocent Witness", a widely praised legal drama about an autistic witness to an apparent murder. Jung Woo-sung said that the movie was about prejudice, and the attitudes that go into making prejudice possible. He said it was a movie about doing the right thing, and expressed strong gratitude to the cast and crew for working through the film during last year's very uncomfortably hot summer.

Jung Woo-sung also specifically called out Kim Hyang-gi, calling her his Perfect Partner with tears in his eyes. A quick pan to Kim Hyang-gi in the audience showed that she too was having a similar emotional reaction.

Jung Woo-sung finished by saying he thinks that film acts as a mirror of the age in which it is produced. He said he hoped that mirror could be used to reflect more beauty in the future.
