On July 25th the 39th Korea Gold Awards Film Festival was held at the Millennium Hilton Hotel in Seoul. Jung Woo-sung came away with the grand acting prize for his role in "Innocent Witness". "The Spy Gone North" won for best film.
It was a big night for "Innocent Witness" in general, as it also won awards for Best Director, Lee Han, and Best Actress, Kim Hyang-gi. The Best New Actor award went to Sung Yoo-bin of "Last Child". The Best New Actress award went to both Park Hye-soo of "Swing Kids" and Lee Jae-in-II of "Svaha: The Fifth Finger".
The Korea Gold Awards Film Festival is hosted by the Korean Society of Cinamtographers. The ceremony was established back in 1977.
