[HanCinema's News] Na Moon-hee and Choi Woo-sang Team up for "My Perfect Roommate"

Later this month on June 23rd the South Korean box office will see a collaboration between old and new as "My Perfect Roommate" will feature established veteran actress Na Moon-hee as the lead alongside the up-and-coming Choi Woo-sung. This will be the fourth time in recent years that Na Moon-hee has done this kind of odd couple light comedy. First "I Can Speak" in 2017 featured her as an outspoken local woman dealing with an overqualified civil servant played by Lee Je-hoon.

Next was "A Little Princess" in 2019 where Na Moon-hee played an exhausted granny to child actress Kim Su-an. Most recently, "Oh! My Gran" had Na Moon-hee as an older woman with light dementia trying to solve a crime alongside her son, played by Lee Hee-jun. Now in "My Perfect Roommate" Na Moon-hee plays an old woman who has long lived alone becoming part of a pilot program to better care for the elderly, with her new roommate Choi Woo-sung being employed by the state to keep an eye on her.

Na Moon-hee's new leading man has gained attention in recent years for small but notable supporting roles in various popular dramas. Choi Woo-sung played a mental ward caregiver in "It's Okay to Not Be Okay" and followed that up with with a role as the younger brother of the lead in "My Roommate Is a Gumiho" played by Lee Hyeri. Most recently, had a leading role in the short drama "O'PENing - XX+XY" which dealt with non-binary issues.
