[HanCinema's News] Scenes From "By Quantum Physics: A Nightlife Venture" Were Filmed in Burning Sun Nightclub

The production company behind "By Quantum Physics: A Nightlife Venture" has confirmed that scenes in the movie were filmed in the Burning Sun nightclub. The news comes after protracted online speculation related to the recently released trailer for the movie, where scenes that appear to take place in Burning Sun are visible.

The production company states that shooting in Burning Sun took place last winter, back when it was still normally operational. "By Quantum Physics: A Nightlife Venture" revolves around a narcotics investigation, and so many scenes in the movie take place in nightclubs. Not all of the nightclub scenes were filmed inside Burning Sun.

Burning Sun closed down earlier this year following allegations of widespread criminal activities there. The ensuing scandal implicated many celebrities in crimes, most notably Seungri of the popular boy band Big Bang. That the club would be a filming location for a fictional criminal story about that subculture is gruesome, although ultimately not that surprising. "By Quantum Physics: A Nightlife Venture" is set to premiere in South Korean theaters sometime in September.
