[HanCinema's News] "The Penthouse" Tops the Good Data Report

With a 63% increase in relative metrics "The Penthouse" surged to the top of the Good Data Report this week, overcoming weeks of dominance by "Start Up" which now falls to second place. Dramatic events at the halfway point of the deliberately intense and violent drama led to a surge in interest. By contrast, "Start Up" was winding down in its penultimate week, with turnabouts mainly of interest to existing fans leading to a small increase of just a sixteenth of a percent.

"The Penthouse" may also have benefited from a recent appearance of its leads on the long running variety show Running Man. Eugene was number two on the overall list for performers, with Lee Ji-ah in third place, Uhm Ki-joon in eighth place, and Kim So-yeon in ninth place. By contrast, for "Start Up" Bae Suzy was number one for performers, with Nam Joo-hyuk at number five and Kim Seon-ho at number seven.
The remaining three spots for performers were taken up by "Tale of the Nine Tailed" which was the third overall drama this week. Lee Dong-wook was in fourth place, Jo Bo-ah was in sixth place, and Lee Tae-ri being in tenth place. Lee Tae-ri is, notably, considered a minor performer in the overall cast list, with his role only recently taking on increased importance. "Tale of the Nine Tailed", like "Start Up", also just finished its penultimate week.
