[HanCinema's News] Video and Audio Evidence of Crimes Related to Jung Joon-young Confirmed to Exist

On April 11th, Seoul police revealed that they have audio and video evidence of Choi Jong-hoon, Roy Kim, and others discussing and committing criminal acts. In a briefing, police stated that they were currently investigating a proper course of action in response to this.

The comments suggest that police may be in the final stages of the Jung Joon-young investigation, which originally started as an investigation of Seungri's club, 'Burning Sun'. Jung Joon-young and a chief manager have already been jailed for their role in taking and distributing illegal, secret sexual videos of various women.

Ironically, Seungri himself has been less of a focus, though he was the first person whose career was wrecked by the scandal. Police are still confirming the extent to which he participated in the distribution of videos, which remains the most lurid charge that has been driving the controversy. However, even absent his participation with the videos, Seungri has's partial ownership of 'Burning Sun' has been linked to embezzlement involving Park Han-byul's husband.

Choi Jong-hoon has been forced out of FT Island. His situation then got worse as a woman known as Miss A accused him of spiking her drink and raping her in the United States back in 2012, and there was also a drunk driving incident in 2016 where he allegedly bribed a police officer.

Investigation into charges for drug-related offenses are also ongoing. Police believe they have deciphered a code used in the chat rooms for when members wished to use them. The code is especially bad as it implies members knew their actions were wrong and trying to hide them from possible investigation.

Roy Kim is also likely to be expelled from Georgetown University. While school officials in the United States are currently only discussing investigation, if the police do indeed have recording of Roy Kim discussing illegal actions, it is difficult to see how he can evade severe punishment for them.
