At noon on April 2nd, Yong Jun-hyung quietly began his mandatory military service at an undisclosed location absent publicity. His agency sent out a statement stating that he only wants to have a normal, anonymous life there.
Yong Jun-hyung's entrance into mandatory military service follows his being outed in connection with Jeong Joon-young's chat rooms wherein users shared secretly filmed sexual videos of women. While Yong Jun-hyung only received videos, and did not send any out, this was still enough to force him out of the musical group Highlight, formerly known as Beast, on March 14th.
