[HanCinema's News] Yoon Ji-oh in Tears in Instagram Broadcast

On March 13th Yoon Ji-oh released a short Instagram broadcast. In it she breaks down in tears over fears of how new progress in the Jang Ja-yeon investigation may be covered up. But she also expresses gratitude to viewers whose interest in the case has caused the investigation into Jang Ja-yeon's death to be reopened.

Jang Ja-yeon committed suicide in 2009. Shortly after a list was discovered implicating a large number of powerful people in the South Korean entertainment industry. Yoon Ji-oh, Jang Ja-yeon's best friend at the time, recently revealed her own identity and role in the original investigation.
Yoon Ji-oh claims that the reason she waited so long to speak out was because she feared for her life. Even now, Yoon Ji-oh is staying at a women's shelter for her own safety. On March 12th, Yoon Ji-oh submitted testimony to the prosecutor's office. The new investigation is still ongoing.
