Hong Ki-joon Joins "Long Live the King"

Actor Hong Ki-joon is starring in "Long Live the King" as Jeong Cheol-min, a podcast host.

"Long Live the King" began filming on the 9th of October and is based on an original web-toon about a gang leader named Jang Se-chool (Kim Rae-won) who becomes a candidate for the National Assembly (NA) and tries to change the world. Hong Ki-joon's role of Jeong Cheol-min is a political satire podcast host who struggles to make Jang Se-chool a member of the NA.

"Long Live the King" is directed by Kang Yoon-Sung who also helmed "The Outlaws", which recorded a total of 6.88 million audiences last year. Hong Ki-joon was in "The Outlaws" as a detective named Park Hyeong-sik.

Hong Ki-joon claims he's very happy to be reunited with Kang Yoon-Sung and is thrilled to be collaborating with outstanding staff and cast members.

Meanwhile, "Long Live the King" aims for release in 2019.
