[Hot Takes From the Noonas] 2016 KBS Drama Awards fashion show

2016/12/31 | 2041 views | Permalink

It's time for the year-end award ceremonies when the three major Korean broadcasters use trophies to reward their top performing actors and dramas. So, let's focus on what really matters: the red carpet fashion. Last up: the 2016 KBS Drama Awards!

Song Joong-ki had a spectacular comeback from army duty with "Descendants of the Sun". So, I'll forgive him for his lack of a neck tie. The absence of a tie does remove any distraction from his perfect plum coloured suit. He really does look fantastic.

"Descendants of the Sun" star, Song Hye-kyo looks luminous, because she is Song Hye-kyo. Unfortunately, her dress features a mash up of a milk maid neckline with a mother of the bride dress. What's a beautiful girl like her doing in a matronly frock like that?

Award hosts, Park Bo-gum, Kim Ji-won and Jun Hyun-moo make heart hands that do not hinder our view of their outfits. I am not a fan of the velvet lapels on Park Bo-gum's jacket, because they look too heavy. However, I suppose they are in keeping with how cute and cuddly he is. I am enjoying how diaphanous and sexy Kim Ji-won's dress is. It's hugging her in all the right places, and hints at without revealing any skin. Beside these two attractive actors, Jun Hyun-moo is at a disadvantage, so his fun Las Vegas lounge look of blue jacket with pompadour is the right choice.

Love,

JK of Noonas Over Forks
