JW Marriott Seoul

JW Marriott Seoul was named as "Mother-Friendly Workplace 2012" by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family and the Korean Committee for UNICEF. It is the first hotel to get the honor.

The hotel has made nursing necessities available to its female workers, including milk storage kits, and established a nursing room where they can find books on pregnancy, childbirth and breast-feeding. It has also instituted programs to help women combine childcare and workplace responsibilities, including instruction on pregnancy health, breast cancer prevention, stress reduction and child leave, along with job stability education to ensure a successful return to their duties.

Through these policies, JW Marriott Seoul enjoys a 100-percent retention rate for female workers who take childbirth and childcare leave, as well as a high ratio of women in its workforce at 45 percent.
