'SICAF2009 International Digital Cartoon Conference' is held on the 3rd floor, Conference Center, Coex, Samsung-dong on 25th. The conference is hosted by the city of Seoul and the organizing committee of SICAF (Seoul International Cartoon & Animation Festival) and organized by the Seoul Animation Center of the Seoul Business Agency.
On the theme of 'Thriving Digital Cartoon and Animation', this event consists of 5 sections such as ▲Drawing by foreign invited authors ▲ Overseas trend of digital cartoon ▲ 'Apstore', Typhoon of digital cartoons ▲ Invited lectures by foreign guests ▲ Stereoscopic image, evolving technology · changing contents.
As lecturers, renowned authors and engineers in the area of creation and technology at home and abroad will participate in the event to provide an overview of a new future of digitalized cartoon and animation.
Authors playing prominent roles in the world's digital creation will deliver lectures on creation trend. Those lecturers include Daniel Merlin Goodbrey, British web comics pioneer, Tateno Koichi, Chairman of the Digital Manga Association Japan, and Toyohara Masatomo of OSAKAUNIVERSITY OF ART.
As for local lecturers, speeches will be delivered on the subject of new perspective on the distribution market of digital cartoon and its environment and future by Hong Jong-min, representative of Nuruk Media and Yoon Shin-young, a director famous for his 3-D films.
