Starring Go Kyung-pyo, Lee Yi-kyung, Eum Moon-suk, Park Se-wan, Lee Soon-won, Kwak Dong-yeon, and more, "6/45" is a saga of luck, both good and bad, risks and love, all with a huge fortune at stake.

A stray lotto ticket finds its way from the city to a military base and ultimately in the hands of Park Cheon-woo (Go Kyung-pyo), a former sergeant at the South Korean front guard post GP. As fate would have it, that's the winning ticket, and the prize money is 5.7 billion KRW! However, the fruit of luck is hard to come by. Just like the wind that brought the ticket to Park Cheon-woo, another gust blows it over the Military Demarcation Line. Ri Yong-ho (Lee Yi-kyung), a North Korean GP soldier, picks it up and decides to confront Park Cheon-woo about it. When he realizes what it's worth, he attempts to strike a deal.

Suspicious behavior on both of their ends draws unnecessary attention, increasing the number of parties who want to lay a claim on the money. Eventually, Captain Kang Eun-pyo (Eum Moon-suk) and frontline soldier Kim Man-cheol (Kwak Dong-yeon) get involved from the South alongside political adviser Choi Seung-il (Lee Soon-won), soldier Bang Cheol-jin (Kim Min-ho) and propaganda broadcast announcer and soldier Ri Yeon-hee (Park Se-wan) from the North.

As insurance against fraud, Park Cheon-woo is sent to North Korea, and Ri Yong-ho comes to South Korea, only to stir up even more trouble when they're dubbed model soldiers on both sides. What ensues is pure, chaotic hilarity that will leave you in fits.

The film wastes no time jumping right into the plot. The pacing is incredible, and the actors do an excellent job of matching their comedic timing to create a coherent and unique mood for the viewer. The synergy between the characters is spectacular, to say the least, especially with how well they bounce off of each other. The subject matter is light-hearted and comically absurd, but it also bears an undercurrent of sentimentality and thwarted romance.

What makes the film ideal for a particularly blue day is the way it never lets you dwell on a dire situation for too long. A solution always presents itself rather naturally and effortlessly, leaving you chuckling about how you were worried for nothing.

After all, this is not a movie that makes you think. Rather, it is an escape from the wariness of real life. So, even when a wild board appears to take away the treasured stash, it is still not cause for concern. If you're looking for something to brighten up your day when you're down in the dumps, "6/45" is your winning lotto ticket.
