Ji Chang-wook, Wi Ha-jun and Im Se-mi in "The Worst of Evil"

On the 4th, Disney+'s original series "The Worst of Evil" confirmed its release next year and unveiled its casting lineup.

"The Worst of Evil" is a criminal action drama that deals with an investigation that begins in Seoul, South Korea, to find out the triangular drug trade between South Korea, China, and Japan. It is the next film by director Han Dong-wook, who debuted with "When A Man Loves A Woman" after directing and assistant director of crime genre films such as "The Unjust", "Nameless Gangster" and "The New World".

Ji Chang-wook, who appeared in "If You Wish Upon Me", "The Sound of Magic", "Lovestruck in the City", "Backstreet Rookie" and "The K2"", will play the role of Park Joon-mo, a police officer who infiltrates the organization for drug investigation, showing the most intense transformation in his acting.

On top of that, Wi Ha-jun, who starred in "Squid Game", "Bad and Crazy", "Little Women", and the movies "Midnight" and "Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum", takes on the role of Jeong Gi-cheol, the boss of an emerging criminal organization.

In addition, Lim Se-mi, who was loved for "The Empire", "Desperate Mr. X" and "When the Weather Is Fine", plays Yoo Eui-jeong, a police officer participating in drug investigations and Park Joon-mo's wife.

"The Worst of Evil" is scheduled to be released in the second half of 2023.
