Jo Soo-hyang to Star in "The Tale of Nokdu"

Actress Jo Soo-hyang is starring in her first sageuk drama, "The Tale of Nokdu".

"The Tale of Nokdu", which is based on an original Naver webtoon, is a fun Joseon romantic comedy about Jeon Nok-doo, who dresses up as a woman to enter a village of widows, and Dong Dong-joo, a young woman who doesn't want to become a gisaeng.

Jo Soo-hyang takes on the role of Kim Ssook, a widow from the widow's village. She is an elegant seamstress during the day, but at night she turns into a warrior with impressive sword skills.

Jo Soo-hyang is apparently practicing sword fighting for the drama.

"The Tale of Nokdu" begins in September.

"The Tale of Nokdu" is directed by Kim Dong-hwi, written by Baek So-yeon, Lim Ye-jin, and features Kim So-hyun, Jang Dong-yoon, Song Geon-hee, Jo Soo-hyang. Broadcasting information in Korea: 2019/09~Upcoming, Mon, Tue 22:00 on KBS.
