Jung Gyu-woon is 150 kg

2011/04/26 | Permalink | Source

Well known for looking good in suits Jung Gyu-woon transformed into a 150kg man.

In the new KBS2 drama "Romance Town" he is Kang Gun-woo and made the transformation of a lifetime. With a massive body weighing 150kg and short round hair also known as 'Hosub hair', he is just as shocking as Kim Ah-joong from movie "200 Pounds Beauty".

To make this transformation, approximately 50 million won (~US$50,000) was invested. He couldn't move for about 5 hours sitting through the make over and even with 20 kg of plaster on his face and body he performed out his act well and the staffs were in awe. The makeover didn't let air in so even in the middle of the winter he had to use fans and air conditionings. His body was also covered in cuts and bruises as well as rashes from the fatty makeover.

Jung Gyu-woon said, "I was too skinny when I was at school. It wasn't something I could easily do in the future so I couldn't let go of the Gun-woo character. It's a role any actor would want to try. I wish everyone would stand by and watch with affection". "Romance Town" will first be shown on the 11th of May and Jung Gyu-woon will appear as the fat guy on the first and second episodes.
