According to jTBC, "Cruel Palace - War of Flowers" has cast Jeong for the role of Jo's (Kim Hyun-joo) mother, Han-ok.

This is Jeong's first historical in 8 years since "Seodongyo". She has been in historical dramas such as, "Jang Hee-bin", "Queen Myeong-seong", "Moo-in Times" and more.

The role of Han-ok is of a humble identity but her beauty and appeal has men falling over her all the time since she was young. She was the concubine of a nobleman and was bullied by the wife who speculated things as she was loved by the lord.

Jung Sun-kyung said, "I am happy to come back with a historical and I hope my character of Han-ok can be full of life".

The production thinks Jeong is the perfect actress to take on the role of Han-ok and portray someone who is impossible to hate no matter what evil deed she does.

"Cruel Palace - War of Flowers" is written by Jeong Ha-yeon and producer Noh Jong-chan.

The cast includes Kim Hyun-joo, Lee Deok-hwa, Jung Sung-mo, Jeon Tae-soo, Song Seon-mi and others.
