Hallyu star Ryu Si-won has set a new record, holding his one hundredth solo concert in Japan! Join us in Saitama, Japan, to check out the concert and talk to Ryu Si-won about his achievement.

Fifty thousand fans jammed the Super Arena in Saitama, Japan, where Ryu Si-won held a two-day concert.

[Interview : Ryu Si-won, Singer and Actor] "My first concert in Japan was in 2005. In seven years, I've achieved my 100th concert. I'm very happy".

Ryu Si-won officially debuted in Japan in 2004 with his first album, and since 2005 has been touring the country each year.

Since his debut, Ryu Si-won has released 22 albums, and every single one has made it onto the Top 10 on Japan's Oricon charts.

At his 100th concert, Ryu Si-won sang thirty songs including "Sakura", the song that made him the first foreign male singer to top the Oricon chart! His fans never stopped cheering during the five-hour concert.

There was one part of the concert that particularly moved his fans. It was this purple shirt.

I brought it out again to wear for my 100th concert after 7 years, and my fans loved it. The first one and the hundredth one are the two most memorable concerts I've held here in Japan".

Ryu Si-won and his Japanese fans seem to have a truly unique connection! Fans responded to Ryu Si-won's surprise with a surprise of their own, holding up cards to send him a special message. We hope to see Ryu Si-won continue his success in both Korea and Japan in 2012!
