Actress Kim Gyu-ri will be working with Kim Joo-hyuk in the MBC historical "God of War".

According to several officials related to this, Kim Gyu-ri has been cast for MBC 50-episode historical "God of War" which is due to be aired next February.

Back from the Roman Film Festival in Italy with director Juhn Jai-hong for "Poongsan" last October, she is coming back with a drama in 4 years with Kim Joo-hyuk.

Her management told TV Report on a phone interview, "Kim Gyu-ri will be in the drama "God of War". She just finished script reading with the other casts". Although she's been in the 2008 movie "Portrait of a Beauty", this is her first historical drama.

"God of War" is based in the Goryeo Times about a slave who rises to the top after beating the government which ruled the country instead of the emperor for 60 years.

Written by Lee Hwan-kyung and produced by Kim Jin-min-I, "God of War" will be aired right after "Hooray for Love".
