Kim Hyun-joong Wins Suit Against Ex-Girlfriend

The Seoul Central District Court on Wednesday sided with singer-actor Kim Hyun-joong in a lawsuit filed by his ex-girlfriend, who alleged that she miscarried their son because Kim beat her.

The court ordered the woman to pay Kim W100 million for defamation (US$1=W1,096).
The woman filed a suit against Kim in 2014 seeking W1.6 billion in compensation for the miscarriage, being forced to have three abortions and psychological trauma.
Kim countersued claiming she was spreading lies about their relationship.
The court dismissed the suit filed by the woman, citing a lack of evidence, while ruling that the abortions appear to have been mutual decisions.
