Two more actors have been added to the upcoming KBS sageuk series "King Geunchogo", which has already cast Kam Woo-sung ("Alone in Love") as the titular king: Kim Ji-soo ("Women in the Sun") and Ahn Jae-mo ("King and I", "Yeon Gaesomun").

This is Kim's first sageuk and her first drama in two years, since she did "Women in the Sun", a drama that netted her a Top Excellence acting award that year from KBS's drama awards. After that show wrapped, she had been cast in the Tokyo Tower remake project, but that fell apart when her co-star Ju Ji-hoon was indicted for drug charges.

Ahn Jae-mo, meanwhile, plays a central character who is the king's childhood friend and vassal. Ahn previously worked with director Yoon Chang-beom in his debut role, sageuk "King and Queen" back in 1998. PD Yoon also did other KBS period dramas "Seoul 1945", "Age of Warriors", and "Empress Myung-sung".

King Geunchogo is set in the Baekje kingdom in the Three Kingdoms era, and although the sageuk genre is a staple in the kdrama landscape, Baekje is lesser-explored dramatic terrain compared to, say, the later Goryeo or Joseon dynasties. King Geunchogo reigned from 346 to 375 A.D.

Filming will begin in early September, and the drama will premiere in October.
