Kim Yoo-mi, all smiles

Pepero Day special premiere of the movie "Black Gospel" was held in Seoul Lotte Cinema on the 11th.

Actor Yang Dong-geun, Jung Joon and actress Kim Yoo-mi made an appearance.

"Black Gospel" is a story about finding the roots to the musical talents of Africans who are captured onto American soil without knowing why. It's a music-driven movie about the slaves of Africa overcoming their pain and sadness even while being mistreated by the whites. Black Gospel music is actually the origin of R&B, Blues, Jazz and Soul music that represent the music industry today.

The interesting part is that the cast of this movie are not Africans but Koreans. "Black Gospel" is the story of a gospel group called Heritage singing black gospels in the city of Harlem in New York City. They find the truth of black gospels and is inspired by it.

Yang Dong-geun, Jung Joon and Kim Yoo-mi, the members of Heritage, compete in a black gospel audition. They are trained by a black vocal trainer and is told, "You have techniques but no soul". This movie will be released on the 14th of November.
