The event lasts from Friday to Sunday.

Kim put the final touches to her new programs for the Olympic season, running through a short program to "Send in the Clowns" and a free skate to "Adios Nonino".

Although she initially had difficulty adjusting her jumps due to the slightly smaller size of the Dom Sportova arena, she executed clean jumps during the training sessions and there were no signs that her recent injury was troubling her. Kim skipped the International Skating Union Grand Prix this season due to a minor injury to her right foot. She has had treatment and rehabilitation since then.

The short program for the women's single takes place on Friday and the free skate the following day.

Meanwhile, Mao Asada of Japan is in first place in the Grand Prix Final in Fukuoka, Japan after the short program with 72.36 points. Russia's Adelina Sotnikova is second with 68.38 points.
