KOCCA Chinese Office Launches Korean-Animation Screening Series

The Korean Animation Screening Series, a regular screening of excellent independent and short animated films in Korea, was launched on July 5 at the Beijing Korea Center.

The Korea Culture and Content Agency (KOCCA) Chinese Office had wanted to introduce Korean animation in China and promote exchange activities between the two countries. The first edition of the Korea Animation Screening Series attracted over 120 audiences from the Chinese animation industry and aspiring local animators and fans, including the President of the Animation School at Beijing Film Academy.

"It is my pleasure to have this chance to see the best Korean animation films regularly in China", said Sun Lijun, President of the Animation School at the Beijing Film Academy. He expressed hope that this series will "become a place for active exchanges between the two countries".

The Korean Animation Screening Series will showcase Korean animation in diverse genre, including educational animation, TV animation, animation made from drama, comics, and novels, and animations for theater.
