The 7th Korea Film Awards honored the year's top filmmakers Thursday night. In a ceremony held at Sejong Cultural Center and aired on MBC this year's hit "The Chaser" came away with the most number of awards. A chilling story about a merciless serial killer and a former cop who chases him relentlessly, "The Chaser" won seven categories - the best picture, best director for Na Hong-jin, best leading actor for Kim Yun-seok, best screenplay, best new director, best lighting, and best editing.

Gong Hyo-jin of "Crush and Blush" received the best leading actress award and Park Hee-soon, who played a corrupt cop and pal to the leading character in "Seven Days", and Kim Ji-young as an indomitable handball player in "Forever the Moment" respectively won the best supporting actor and actress awards. Much touted "The Good, the Bad, the Weird" got the nod for its art direction, photography, sound, and visual effect.
