Korean Duo Conquers Asian Pop Charts

The Korean language version of the album "SCANDAL" from pop group KANG TA & VANNESS has conquered the influential Taiwanese music tracker's Feng Yun Bang's Taiwan G-music Chart. According to the group's label SM Entertainment, sales of the album began in the hometown of member Vanness, who is also a member of the group F4, on May 30, and for the period June from 9 to 15, the album was the top Asian seller.

After holding a press conference in Taipei on the 12th to mark the simultaneous release of the group's Chinese language version of the album in nine countries -- Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia, India, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Singapore -- it went on sale on the 16th. The group traveled between Taipei, Taoyuan, Taichung and Tainan, promoting the release with fan meetings and autograph events over a two-week period. They were warmly met by fans not only from Taiwan but also from Japan, Thailand and Hong Kong. The duo return to Korea to start shooting follow-up music videos on Friday.
