YB(Yoon Band), one of Korea's foremost rock groups, will be gracing two of New York's popular venues in mid-November. The Korean band is slated to hold its first concert in the United States on November 17. The concert will take place at BB King's Blues Club & Grill in New York, followed by the band's next performance at the NOKIA Theatre on November 18.

Well known for its unique music style and energetic live performance, YB has become one of Korea's top rock bands since making its debut in 1994. The band is named after its vocalist and producer Yoon Do-hyun, who is also famous for the host of a live, music television show " Love Letter ". The band had its name up, gaining huge popularity during 2002 World Cup when millions of Korean people poured out into the streets of Seoul to cheer for Korean's national soccer team with YB's famous song "Oh, Pil-seung Korea (Oh, Victory to Korea)". This song, which truly made whole nation, as one became Korea's de facto soccer anthem capitulating YB to the top.

The band will be the first Asia band to perform at BB King's Blues Club so that CNN and MTV will broadcast its performance. The BB King's Blues Club, located at the Times Square, is the one of the top club venues in New York, where such famous names as Air Supply, Peter Frampton, and the Beach Boys had notable shows.

YB's concert at the BB King's Blues Club, is aimed at attracting American audience to enjoy Koreans' exotic music. By contrast, for its NOKIA Theatre concert on the 18th, YB's repertoire will concentrate on the band's greatest hit songs to date, creating a fevered atmosphere that will surely keep Korean fans on their feet. NOKIA Theatre, located at the center of the world's popular culture on Broadway, has hosted numerous award ceremonies and performances by famous musicians such as Vince Gill, Rod Steward and Nick Lachey. At these two concerts, YB will introduce the English version of their hit songs and upgraded version of "World Cup Songs" to Korean and American fans.

The concerts in New York will be the beginning of the band's attempts to make inroads into the American music market. In February, YB will hold another concert in Los Angeles. The band plans to make regular performances in the U.S.
