KWON graduated from Dongguk University, with a M.A degree. He started his film career as an assistant director for < Water World > (1989, directed by YOO Young-jin). After working as an assistant director for a couple of films, he directed a number of commercials and music videos. He returned to film as a director for the on-line movie MOB2025. < For Horowitz > is his theatrical debut film.
