Na-bi is a sushi chef who is learning from a sushi master. One day a traveler named Lee Jeong moves in next door with a cat. The cat, Yam-ma draws Na-bi's attention as she can see the souls of cats and communicate with them. The soul of a woman named Ma Jang-soon is attached to the cat and she has a story to tell. Na-bi agrees to cat-sit Yam-ma for Lee Jeong who has to go away for work and the two of them eventually become lovers.
However, the happiest of times ends soon as they find out that Yam-ma has cancer...
