"Ruler: Master of the Mask" is a fiction historical drama that balances politics and melodrama; it's based on a true story about water privatization during the 1700s. Yoo Seung-ho, Kim So-hyun and Yoon So-hee star in this drama which is all about the lonely struggle of a prince who fought against a gang that gained tremendous power by privatizing all the water in the Joseon Province.

Kim Myung-soo takes on the role of Lee Seon, a fake King. He was born a genius but is considered worthless as he is just the child of a peasant. He then learns to read and write from Ga-eun (Kim So-hyun) and substitutes for Lee Seon (Yoo Seung-ho), the real prince.

Kim Myung-soo has shown his value in dramas "Sly and Single Again", "My Lovely Girl" and "The Time We Were Not in Love".

Kim Myung-soo claims he knew the role was his as soon as he read about it.

"Ruler: Master of the Mask" will be released next year.
